Dr. Tanega and the staff's professionalism, cleanliness, and care exceeds my expectation, even before covid-19. Her knowledge and credentials shines in her work ethics. The office has the appropriate protocols, more with the covid 19, the staff very well trained and very friendly, I in particular had an implant with Dr. Janet Tanega and to be honest it did not hurt at all and my recovery was super fast I was already working the next day, I have also had fillings and I have loved the dedication to work I recommend this office to perform any dental procedure.

I have been referred by my cousin, Candace Claudio, to her office originally for Ortho ever since I was in my early teens, however because I liked her work ethic and the way she took care of me, I moved to her office for general work as well. There's no other dentist and specialist that I would move to. Highly recommend her to anyone who wants a dentist that actually cares about her patients.

Dr. Tanega is the consummate professional but she is also very patient and caring. After being absent from the dentist for five years, my visit with Dr. Tanega was a very positive experience. Thanks to Yelp, I found Dr. Tanega while looking for a dentist to take my children to on a Saturday. We can't do appointments during the week due to school. The front office staff had no problem scheduling my four children all on one Saturday. Helene the dental hygienist who did the cleanings complimented my daughter on her teeth which put her at ease with her new dentist. Free parking is sufficient, the office is clean and modern and Dr. Tanega is very compassionate, as well as funny and approachable. She really does earn a five star rating on Yelp.

A happy patient! Dr. Tanega and her staff make dental appointments fun and effective. I don't know anyone who loves to have dental work done but the relaxed and inviting atmosphere definitely put me at ease. I appreciate Dr. Tanega's expertise and how she is very transparent about what's going on with my teeth! She is very professional and dedicated to "getting it done right". She always makes a point to say that if there's something that needs fixing to come to her and she'll take care of it without a problem. I can say from personal experience that her statement is true. The staff including RJ, the office manager, are pleasant to work with and really care about your dental health. I trust her recommendations because her primary concern is my health and oral hygiene. Besides her great array of expertise, one of the reasons why I keep coming back here are the staffs. The dental hygienists here are also gentle with their hands unlike my previous experiences with other clinics- rough and painful. If you are looking for a family dentist within wider Bay Area - you will find both Family and Dentist at Dr. Tanega's office. I have been her patient for more than a decade and without any exceptions always received very best dental care - from routine checkups and cleanings to complex extractions and implants that included bone restorations. Even in the case of somewhat trivial procedure like zoom whitening (that I just had) Dr Tanega went above and beyond to ensure best results and to prevent common in this procedure pain as much as it was possible (I was given detail instructions for preparations weeks in advance and as a result there was no pain at all... and I have extremly sensitive teeth). Whenever needed I was immediately referred to a specialist with a very prompt followup. I can also attest to the fact that equipment in the office is very modern and from what I see from my patient's sit it applies to the methods of treatments as well. All staff is very friendly, professional and caring. I highly recommend her practice to anyone looking for the very best dentist around here.

Janet has been taking care of my smile since forever. Now I got braces and my smile is going to be better then ever. The office is clean and they give you hot towels when your done. Dental expenses could really hurt your pocket. But not with the help of Dr. Janet Tanega and her team. I have a number of dental problems after years of not seeing my former dentist. Their promo for the past holidays and discounts helped me a lot.They have also assisted me to apply for Lending club for future treatments for this year since my dental insurance wasn't very helpful. As for professionalism, Dr Janet and hygienist RJ have been giving me the best care and treatments. They both work fast and accurate. After weeks of seeing them, I've seen the great results (no more puffy and bleedy gums! Yay!) They also give advices that are really helpful to improve your dental health. It is totally understandable if you have to wait a little longer to be treated,it is normal that other patients are already there before you while some have more urgent cases.I am very happy with my experience with Dr Tanega and will definitely recommend her to my family and friends!

My girlfriend referred Dr. Tanega. I've been going to her for almost 7 years and was pleased each time I came. Dr Tanega has always delivered with what I felt was excellent care. I definitely agree with the other yelps on here in that she really does make you feel good about the whole thing. Her staff; Oxana, Mae, And Jo are also excellent in doing what they do. Bottom line is, if you like a good dentist, that does a variety of services, and runs a tight ship, with an excellent crew, you would not regret going to Tanega dental!
The staff is very friendly. I always joke around with them and have fun. Going to the dentist is never scary here. I've been with Dr. Tanega's office for about 5 years. Everytime I get my cleaning from her or Jenelie, I leave the office smiling. Recently I have been using Invisalign that Dr. Tanega recommended. My teeth is looking better each day and Dr. Tanega has proved that she cares about my progress. Every 4 weeks I visit her and she makes me feel better about my teeth everytime! She is a great dentist and treats you like her own child by simply caring. I also get to watch whatever I want--SCORE!! This place is great for patients of all ages. I def. recommend her. It's also a plus that she is next door to Hawaiian Drive inn! ;D
I've had a history of bad dental experiences throughout my life. Unfortunately, this has caused me to have alot of anxiety every time I visit the dentist. Finally, my boyfriend referred me to his long-time dentist Dr. Tanega. Immediately her calming "bedside manner" soothed my anxiety and tension as she reassured me that I would be just fine. After two recent visits for a deep cleaning, I am convinced that Dr. Tanega and her team are seriously, THE BEST. Her staff is wonderful and it is obvious that they all enjoy working there. Now I can honestly say that I love my dentist and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Now our 3-year old son also enjoys coming to his appointments with her as well! Thank you Dr. Tanega!
